1Day Ama Experience Tour
Mikimoto Pearl Island was the first place in the world to successfully cultivate pearls.
You can watch a demonstration show of the traditional skills of the Ama divers who supported pearl farming.
From there, you will be taken to Osatsu Town (the town with the largest number of Ama divers in Japan).
On the way, you will go with us to the Observatory Centre, which offers a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the coastline of Iseshima.
You will then visit an Ama hut where you will have lunch.
Real ama divers will grill shellfish and fish for you. Enjoy a valuable conversation with an active ama diver!
Finally, visit the Ama Culture Museum and Ishigami Shrine.
- This is a private tour (you may be joined by other guests at the ama hut)
- You will be able to watch a demonstration show of Ama divers and have a free time to visit the Pearl Museum and other facilities
- Enjoy a seafood lunch and conversation with ama divers at the ama hut
- Visit the Ama Culture Museum
- You can also visit Ishigami Shrine, a shrine that grants women’s wishes
